My love for Disney began when I was a young girl and my parents took me to Disney with my brothers for a boy scout trip. During High School I attended Benjamin Russell in Alexander City, AL where I was a majorette in the band. We were given the opportunity to perform at Magic Kingdom during one of their parades, which was a dream come true and such an honor to have been chosen. The vision that Walt Disney had were dream, believe, dare, and do. I believe this is still true today!
I began my travel experience at another home-based travel agency where I learned about the travel business. During this time, my love for Disney and the magical experience that Disney offered became a focus in my travel business. The many years of experience in sales and the importance of customer service, loyalty, and dedication for every client to have a magical experience is when Fairytale Journeys,LLC was created. For the past 6 years, my family and I have visited Walt Disney World and have been on the Disney Cruise Line 5 times. I enjoy helping others plan their magical vacations to WDW. I give each client the personal service that they should have. I make sure from the beginning of the reservations to the end that everything is taken care of for their magical vacation. My name is Corey Affolder. I am married to Barb and have 2 sons age 11 and 6. We live in Decatur, a smaller town in North Eastern Indiana. I am also the Owner/Broker of ABC Real Estate.
My love for Disney started in 1988 when I went on my first family vacation to Orlando. Since then, I have been to Disney World almost 30 times including one year when we visited 5 times for 21 days. Even before I was a Disney Travel Agent, I planned a week for 23 family members. This trip was highlighted by my 5 week old son’s first Disney visit which included a hair cut at the Main Street Barber Shop. Since I have been to Disney World multiple times, I can go just about anywhere from memory. I have ridden all the rides (although some I don’t care to ride again), and seen almost all the shows.
We have been to Disney in all seasons; Spring for the Flower Festival, Summer for the Fourth of July fireworks all around the Magic Kingdom, Fall for the Food & Wine Festival at EPCOT and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World; and Winter for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Walt Disney World. We have really enjoyed the after hours events. Either I or my boys have enjoyed other Disney Events like Fishing Trips, Pirate Scavenger Hunts, Disney Quest, Water Parks and tours.
We have stayed and/or visited most resorts over the years. I have eaten at most of the wonderful restaurants at Disney World and find that Disney has some of the best cooks anywhere. We really enjoy the on property dinner shows as well. Anytime a new restaurant opens, we make a visit the “must do” on our next trip.
I love everything about Disney. One way I find different things to do and see is to collect the smashed pennies. It’s similar to a scavenger hunt looking for the machines and trying to finish out the collections. I currently have over 400 pennies. We also have an extensive collection of Disney souvenirs. I have several rooms at home and another room at the office filled with Disney décor. I have lots of books and movies about the parks and Walt Disney.

My love for Disney began when I saw my first rope drop with my daughter. I have been to Disney quite a few times since we began our family. My first trip was with my grandparents in the summer of 1988. Over the past few years, we have spent my childrens and my wife birthdays in WDW. Is it my turn? I didn’t have the opportunity to go back until the 25th anniversary and the Castle was decorated like a big Candy Castle. It was magnificent!! We go as often as we can and when people ask us, why we don’t go anywhere else, I simply say because there is no other place I would rather be!

I am a father of two beautiful girls, and have been married for 19 years to my wonderful wife Shylena.
Our first trip to WDW (Walt Disney World) as a family was in 2003, and was also mine and my daughters first trip to wdw. It was during Mickeys not so scary Halloween party, and we have been going back ever since. We have made a total of 6 trips to WDW, and have stayed at several of the resorts. They include Port Orleans Riverside, Port Orleans French Quarter, Pop Century, All Star Movies, and All Star Music. I have always loved planning our vacations out and making all of our dining reservations.
I am an active member of the DisDads group, which is on the disboards.com forum. I have also participated in the Disdads podcast on several occasions. The Disdads group is a large group of fathers who all enjoy the magic and excitement of Disney and are some of the nicest and most helpful people you will ever meet.
I love Disney and WDW for the magic they bring to any occasion. I vacationed with my brother and his family once during the Osbourne Family Festival of Lights, and my youngest niece summed it up quite well. They threw the switch the millions of Christmas lights came on, and it started to snow over the crowd. "IT'S MAGIC!" You cant replace memories like that.
